Since 1989, The Living Room has been a Pune family practice: we manufacture sofas and specify the soft layers around them - curtains, mattresses, wallpapers, bedding, and rugs.

From a humble setup to homes across Pune
The Living Room started in 1989 in a humble setup. It was well received in the local areas - people recognised the honesty in materials, the care in customisation, and products built to last.
That way of working has not changed. Families kept asking for the curtains to match, then the bed, then the rug. Rather than send them elsewhere, we brought the rest of the making under one roof.
You still sit with samples. Drawings still go to the floor. Site measurements still come back before anything is cut - honesty in the material, and a piece meant to last.

We moved into a first showroom space, so families could sit with samples and see the work in person.

A new showroom opened - more rooms to read, more materials on the table, the same way of making.

The large-scale workshop started: frames, foam, stitching, and quality walks under one Pune roof.
What we make
Pieces and layers
Sofas and mattresses are manufactured here. Curtains, wallpapers, linen, and rugs are specified, sampled, and installed as part of the same brief so the house reads as one decision.
How we work
Consultation first
There is no cart. A project starts with a visit or photographs, then materials, then making. We would rather make fewer homes well than stock a warehouse of almost-right pieces.
